II Corinthians 4:6 NKJV
For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
II Corinthians 4:6 NKJV
When God spoke, let there be light, in Greek, "phos", which means lumination; it is a divine illumination where the plan of God is revealed on the face of the earth.
When God began to speak, His word took form and created every living thing on the face of the earth. Illuminating every word to life and reality.
All that was in God's heart concerning this world was formed. That which was darkness was changed to revelation, substance, knowledge, wisdom and love.
What is in us through Christ is the same power and presence that illuminated the world into a beautiful creation of God.
This light that is in us is to illuminate all that is of God that Christ has placed in us. Therefore, to grow in the light of God is to turn away from our personal agendas and focus totally on what has been given.
We need to turn our hearts and minds into living, believing and speaking what God reveals through His word which is in the face of Jesus Christ.
This means Jesus Christ is the ultimate revelation of God to mankind. Not doctrine of man or religion that separates but Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
Every idea, knowledge and understanding shared that does not reflect what Christ Jesus has done has fallen short of His glory.
There is a knowledge that is far beyond the knowledge of the world, it is found in the word that has been set by Jesus for us to live in. This knowledge is the same that formed the entire world.
Such creativity, such wisdom that is far greater than Solomon, such heart and love is far greater than David has been set in everyone who believes in Jesus Christ.
For in the new covenant, we all have been transformed into His image and likeness. We are called to walk in that light and in God's perfect love.
This light in us will shine forth His knowledge and His glory so that we can walk in Him according to what He has created us.
Many believers are still looking at themselves, still analysing what they don't have and still looking down on themselves when God has placed us higher than any storm of life and has equipped us with everything we need in life.
We have to make a choice to walk in Him and in His light; we have to direct our minds and hearts towards Jesus Christ, who is our revelation.
We are blessed by our loving Father who gave us Jesus so that through Him we can illuminate our lives to shine His glory and power.
Live in the blessings,
Ps Ambrose
