Haggai 1:7 NKJV

The word of the Lord came through the prophet Haggai about the reason God's people are not able to retain the blessings that they have received, and are still not satisfied, no matter how many blessings they have gained.

God has given to all our labour food to eat, shelter to live in, creation to enjoy and seed to sow. If the sowing is neglected, it will affect our entire life.

Everything in the world has its cycles. Tree from the seeds, fruits from the tree and seeds from the fruits. We, as children of God, are made to be about our Father's business.

If we want to live life to the full in Christ, then we too need to take care of Christ's house, His kingdom, and give towards His mission.

This is not about taking away our finances, but about embracing a principle of living with God's purpose in mind.

This is to bring us into unity for the work of our Father in heaven. He has prepared for us all things to accomplish His purpose.

Therefore, when our wealth is depleting even though we make much, when our health is deteriorating no matter how good we keep ourselves healthy, when our relationship is struggling no matter how much we try, perhaps we need to consider our ways in the light of God's kingdom.

Sowing is towards where our source of real food comes from so that real food will be in constant flow. Keep taking care of everything God has given to us and see our lives retaining God's blessings.

In Christ, we have received everything. What is important is for us not to lose it but retain that life every day in Christ by flowing out His abundance through our lives.

Let us take time to consider, look at our life and bring it before God and see if we have neglected His kingdom.
