Hebrews 4:9 NKJV

There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.

Hebrews 4:9 NKJV

The writer of Hebrews highlighted the actual rest that God has prepared for all mankind to enter. It is not just about physical rest but it is more about resting in the work that has been completed by Christ for all mankind.

In this rest, all are called to be reminded, be conscious, meditate and reset to the image and likeness of God.

Mankind needed to work to be holy, to be blameless, to be anointed and to be accepted by God. The rest Jesus brought to us is to enter and remain in His finished work, not just for one day of the week, but to live in it all the days of our lives.

This rest is not about sleeping and doing nothing, but to be living in the glorious state of being a child of God, as an heir of His kingdom, equipped with His authority and power.

Jesus restored what satan has robbed from mankind. Jesus restored it back and there is nothing satan can do about it. Those keys are in our hands. Therefore, it is up to us how to take care of this precious work that Christ has given to all who believe in Him.

This is a day of celebration of God's goodness towards mankind. As true rest comes from being in absolute peace, which can only come from remaining in Christ.

The place of rest has already been prepared, and to get in is to believe in the One who has given it to us. Believe in Jesus who has set everything in place for us to live in.

Let us be bold to live and believe that all things are possible to those who believe.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
