Romans 8:33 NKJV
Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.
Romans 8:33 NKJV
Paul spoke of God's love towards mankind. It is so powerful and it cannot be broken by the power of the enemy and it leaves no trace for any form of accusations.
God who has the final authority, who sits above all authority and power have justified all mankind through His own Son, Jesus Christ.
When the punishment is already served, there is no reason for any accusations to be brought forward.
The punishment for our sins yesterday, today and forever has been paid in full. Leaving us free from the bondage of living under sin-conciousness and its power.
This means we have been freed from the gravity of sin nature that constantly pulls people to sin to a gravity of God's nature that constantly pulls us to live a holy life just as God is Holy.
We have to come into understanding and realise what Christ has done for us and don't dilute it with false humility and with self- righteousness.
There is nothing that can free us more or nothing that can make us holier than what Christ has made us to be. Christ has placed us all at the best, with the greatest and with the most powerful force in the universe, Christ Himself is living in us through His Spirit.
The word justifies in greek is dikaion. It is a legal term used to pronounce or declare someone righteous. To bring that person to a state of righteousness.
That means we are not in the process of becoming righteous but have been presented and made righteous.
Righteousness is not a promise. It is a state of our being in Christ. It is already given. It is our new nature.
Religion teaches to gain or we must try to live righteous or do everything to be righteous. It will only produce death.
The only righteousness we have been given is by Jesus Christ. All God wants us to do is to start living the righteous life that He has given.
Therefore, let us start living life as one who have been freed, justified, sanctified and called to reflect His glory everyday.
Live in His blessings,
Ps Ambrose
