John 17:2 NKJV

as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him.

John 17:2 NKJV

Jesus prayed this prayer to the Father before His crucifixion and there is alot we can see in this prayer that we can learn.

One of the point here is that Jesus acknowledged the authority His Father has given to Him and He has made known to all that the Father has given Him.

Jesus taught His disciples and gave them eternal life by giving Himself on that cross for the sins of all humanity.

His ministry of redemption which started more than 2000 years ago is still saving souls today. Jesus is not dying again and again on that cross every time a person wants to come into the saving knowledge of Christ. Instead, each one received the work that Christ has finished for mankind at that cross once and for all.

There is nothing greater than eternal life and that is what everyone have received by believing in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Just as Christ was sent by the Father with a mandate, He finished it and through His finished work we all now become a promise carrier, carriers of miracles and His glory.

The reason we got saved because someone carried that glory and shared Jesus with us. We are so grateful to know Jesus.

Some are introduced to Christ as a child in the family, some through friends, some through family members and it happened because somebody shared.

This is what Jesus did, and His disciples carried out the works, it multiplied and will continue to multiply through people like us who have been graced with this truth.

This truth must continue to be spread from our own generation to the next with greater witness and with greater glory according to God's own word.

Jesus did it, His disciples followed and freely did the same. It is time for us to rise up and really give someone the best gift in life, Jesus Christ.

He is in us waiting to be made known, shared, waiting to heal, deliver and set people free through our lives. Let us start sharing this precious truth to all around us.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
