Romans 1:1 NKJV

Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God

Romans 1:1 NKJV

Paul's greetings were not just a common way to introduce himself, but also to highlight the importance of the position God had placed him in and the assignments for his life.

Paul emphasized that he does not function, come to the church or advise outside of God's plans. When Paul spoke, he made known what was his own thoughts, but everything else he spoke, he spoke as an oracle of God.

Paul is chosen by God just like all of us. Paul had assignments from God for his life, and we, who are born again, also have assignments for our lives.

Paul heard the message of Christ, believed, stepped into his assignments and fulfilled them. We, too, who hear the message of Christ, must believe, step out in faith and fulfil those assignments for our lives.

Paul's greetings also speak to us that living in Christ is not a passive life. It is a life-giving spirit.

It generates the life of God every day.

Living a passive life cannot bring us from glory to glory. It is an active participation in the Word and His Spirit that will glorify our Heavenly Father.

Many people will oppose God's children subtly with good intentions for their benefit but nothing is beneficial outside of God's assignments.

Our miracles, breakthroughs, and success are not in doing our own things but in following and fulfilling God's assignments.

Many know they are called of God, but life has beaten them down to settle as a victim. We must rise up in God and fulfil the plan and purposes of God.

We must have the same mindset as Paul had.

He reminded himself of his position of authority and responsibility, even in his greetings to the church.

If we are aware of who we have become in Christ, we will make a more conscious decision to live like Him. We are called, we have been set apart and have been empowered to do the works of Christ.

Let us all rise up in God, walk in His presence, be led by His Spirit and fulfil our everyday assignments for our lives.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
