Luke 4:12 NKJV

And Jesus answered and said to him, “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ ”

Luke 4:12 NKJV

Jesus was tempted by the devil and was challenged regarding His identity, provision and obedience to live according to the truth.

The first two times that Jesus replied to the devil, Jesus said it is written "logos", which Jesus refers to as the written word of God that shows God's principles and truth for all mankind.

But here it is not just a written word of God, "logos", but "Rhema". When the word becomes alive in the spirit, it is not just the word on paper, but it has become alive in us.

It becomes part of our beliefs and part of our lives. When that happened, the enemy had no more power to tempt us in that area of our lives.

God's word is alive and powerful, sharper than a double-edged sword. That is how God's word is supposed to be in our lives.

It changes our lives, reshapes our thoughts and hearts to God's very image and likeness. Many are fearful to believe what God has made us to be because it is too good to be true, but it is the truth and that is why it is called the Good News.

Believers cannot live a holy life or a perfected life that Jesus purchased for us if we can't believe that is who Jesus HAS made us to be.

The battles were won, the land was conquered and the miracles were seen because someone took logos and applied it until it became rhema.

Living out the word comes about when what is written on the pages is transferred to our hearts and minds. When we believe God above what our senses tell us.

Let us keep praying in the spirit with the truth of God's word until God's word becomes one in us and turns into Rhema.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
