James 1:14 NKJV

But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.

James 1:14 NKJV

The word of God teaches us that we fall into sin not because the temptation was strong but because we gave strength to the temptation by giving our attention to it.

Just like Adam and Eve in the garden, eating all the fruits and did not say one word nor discuss about the tree of the knowledge of good and evil until satan brought it to Eve's attention.

It did not bother Eve in the beginning, but when she gave her attention to looking at it, she developed a desire that was not of God and produced death.

Eve gave in to the tricks of the enemy. Eve was happy, blessed and had everything that was good for her. She cannot ask for more because all have been given to them.

The enemy always lies to us and say we don't have enough so that we will yearn for more satisfaction when, in actual truth, God has given us all that we need. All satan does is to take us away from the perfection God has made so that he can steal, kill and destroy us.

We have seen joy and peace in homes that may not have much according to the world's standards. But no money in the world can buy such peace and joy in homes that are grateful and blessed by God.

Let us not fall for the same tricks the enemy is throwing, enticing with lies that bring death in the end. We give power to what we give our attention to.

Therefore, let us give our full attention to seeking God and His kingdom and be assured that the best will surround us.

Blessings,

Ps Ambrose
