And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;

Peter gave us insight on how to live the life of Christ confidently for they have witnessed the truth and heard from heaven that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Peter gave instruction to live as one who has become the light and believe as one who lights up no matter how dark the place is.

It is clear that Peter taught believers to live as one who HAS BECOME the light of God and as we believe and exercise this truth, we will start to see the transformation within us and around us.

Today many are praying that they will become the light, many do their best to earn the blessings but the truth is God has already made us to be the light in this world.

Don't try to become what we already are. It is a gift from God. All Peter is trying to teach believers is to start living who we are in Christ.

As children of the light, we just keep shining and make our light to shine brighter when we get into practising what Christ has given.

Let us therefore believe that we ARE the light in this world, we are to put out every darkness out there and shine the light for all to see Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
