Romans 1:7 NKJV

To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 1:7 NKJV

Paul greeted the Romans who believed in Jesus Christ as saints. That is how Paul sees every believer in Christ, not as one who is going to become a saint.

For in Christ we all have become saints which means we have been set apart for God, for His purpose. Immediately people think, "Oh no! I am going to lose what I like to do and what I want."

The truth is what really satisfies our soul, what truly causes our soul to rest and be really fulfilled in our purpose is to live according to His purpose.

Our call is NOT about the job we are doing. Police, teacher, doctor, driver, engineer, or whatever we do to earn a living. Our call is about how we carry out those jobs according to God's image and likeness.

Our call is to be the reflection of who Jesus is in everything we do. Religion will focus on the title, Jesus focuses on the relationship, to move in Him, live in Him, and have our being in Him.

It is not about what kind of job that we do. It is about how we do it. All those believers in Rome have different jobs so they can take care of their families but they are all called saints.

We put on Christ, live in His kingdom, and display Him in every area of our lives.

Let us acknowledge who we have become and start to live out our best life in Christ Jesus.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
