He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him.

John wrote to explain that those who abide in the light will love, will care, will not become a stumbling block or a hindrance to the true welfare of others.

They will exhibit the character of God, forgiving, correcting, and nurturing one another in the fullness of God.

Light speaks of God, His holiness and His character. John 1: 4 tells us that the life of God is the light of every man. Therefore, the life of God will be displayed through everyone who carries the light of God.

Jesus said we are the salt and the light of the earth because His life is in each one of us enabling us to live out the characteristics of Christ through our lives.

God is love. Therefore, every action that we display is for the benefit of everyone in the light of God's glory. Love means bringing everything that is in error into the truth of God.

When we walk according to His love, there will be no snare that we can fall into or be blinded by the enemy because love always causes us to do the right thing.

We don't need to worry about the plot of the enemy. All we need to do is keep walking in love, in His Spirit, and in truth.

We need to be conscious of who lives in us and what He wants us to do and to be. Be conscious of His character and follow His directions.

Let us walk in His divine power, in His divine nature, and become the reflection of His love and grace to all mankind.
