John 10:5 NKJV

Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.”

John 10:5 NKJV

God made us to hear Him and know His voice. It has been built into us to recognise our Creator but the enemy has increased his volume with temptations, with ideology and a form of godliness but without power.

The sun shines constantly yet the other side of the Earth is filled with darkness because that location is not facing the sun, even though the sun does not cease shining.

If we don't face Jesus, the SON of the living God through His word and His Spirit, we are not going to see or hear God simply because we are tuned into a different channel.

Just like a 24-hour radio station when it is on air, it does not mean we can hear it without tuning into the frequency of that station.

Jesus Christ has given us the frequency which is His word and has given us the Holy Spirit to hear what He is saying to us as His church.

The sheep knows how to run away from a different voice because the sheep knows they cannot trust any other voice except the voice of their shepherds.

Do we know His voice, do we know His ways and do we know His word? If we don't, then we need to come back to looking unto Jesus, fixing our eyes on Him, and give ear to the Holy Spirit of God.

It is very important for us to know God's voice and know what He wants us to do. Sheep are not very smart animals compared to other animals but they have qualities that make them follow the shepherd to be saved.

Let us give time to hear Christ, turn our directions towards Him, and follow His footsteps.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
