Colossians 4:18 NKJV

This salutation by my own hand—Paul. Remember my chains. Grace be with you. Amen.

Colossians 4:18 NKJV

Paul's letter to the Colossians ended with this salutation, reminding them of his chains.

Paul has suffered much for the gospel of Christ and for speaking about the kingdom of God. He has taken many beatings and persecutions, and is now chained while writing this letter.

Paul is not asking for sympathy or pity, but to remember that this gospel has come to them with great sacrifice, so that they don't take it lightly.

Paul is sending the message that this gospel needs to be preserved and shared no matter what comes our way; Paul has shown that through his life.

Today we have the word of God accessible at our fingertips; it can be with us wherever we go without adding a weight to our journey.

Many have given their lives for us to have this privilege, to have this truth that sets us free.

Therefore, it is important that we value the word of God that gives life to our lives. It is important to study the word and know God.

So that the value we should give to God's word will not be diminished by the daily routines of our lives.

Every person wants to have God's best, wants to live in peace and joy, but very few spend time to know from the book that shows us how to walk in it.

The word of God reveals what Jesus had accomplished for all mankind so that we who understand it can live in the blessings God had provided.

We can take the opportunity to know God, His kingdom, and His power that is at work within us and manifest them in our daily lives.

Let us not neglect the word of God that gives life, direction, faith, hope, and helps us to live in His love.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
