Mark 1:18 NKJV

They immediately left their nets and followed Him.

Mark 1:18 NKJV

When Jesus walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew casting net into the sea to catch fish. But when Jesus called them to follow Him IMMEDIATELY, they left everything and followed Jesus.

It is a very remarkable response from Simon and Andrew to immediately leave everything and follow Jesus.

The words of Jesus has power to speak into the very destiny of Simon and Andrew, surpasses everything that mankind would do just like that.

For Simon and Andrew, that is their work to earn and feed the people who are under their care. We never hear that they suffered any lack but were always taken care of.

Simon and Andrew also had a willing heart longing for the truth and when they heard Jesus's voice, they must have witnessed something supernatural in themselves to respond the way they did.

A heart that is looking for truth that sets them free will always find it. Because truth is always speaking.

Jesus Christ is the truth and He is always speaking through His Spirit and through the words which He has given to us through His apostles.

When our heart is set to seek the truth, we will find the answer and we will be enlightened to a new level of life in Christ.

We will be more immediate in our responses to God. Because we will not respond to our likings but to the truth.

Many have heard the truth but because it is not what they like, they discard that truth. Many take instructions from the Lord lightly and harden their hearts as days go by.

To keep our heart receptive to God's voice, revelations and instructions is to respond immediately when He speaks.

Let us be that person who IMMEDIATELY responds to God when He speaks.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
