I Corinthians 1:28 NKJV

Paul addressed the Corinthian churches that they are not lacking in operating in the gifts of of God but they started to take pride of their position and accomplishment.

Here Paul is very blunt in speaking to them to look at themselves and where they come from and what they have is a gift from Christ Jesus our Lord.

Paul said that they stand blessed is because God has blessed them with every spiritual blessing, saved by His grace and empowered by His Spirit.

Therefore if anyone wants to boast about things, they only can boast of Jesus Christ who have given mankind all that we need.

We must always remember what we have is from God. Therefore don't have to worry about the task He has ordained for us, all we need to do is to step out and do it.

If we are anxious about the work God has called us to do, we are trusting in ourselves rather than believing that He who calls has empowered us to complete it.

Therefore no one can boast of our achievements for it is through Christ that we can conform the wise, heal the sick, cast out the devil and save souls.

Even though it is a correction that Paul brings to the Corinthian believers yet we also can learn that we can be bold to take the step of faith to do what He has called us to do.

Since all the power, wisdom, understanding and knowledge flows from Christ through us, there is nothing that we need to be afraid.

What is important for us to remember is that we have received everything from Christ our Lord. Therefore all glory, honour, praise and worship belongs to Christ alone.

Let us continue to acknowledge all that we have received, giving thanks for all the blessings we have received from Christ our Lord.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
