While Paul was in prison, he wanted to know how the Philippian believers were progressing. Here Paul speaks of Timothy as like- minded, meaning that it would be just like Paul being there for them.

Timothy has proven to Paul to be a man who has been selfless and has always lived for the benefit of others.

Timothy lived just as Paul lived a selfless life to serve the people of God, guiding them in the truth which Jesus had set for all humanity.

There are not many who can come close to believing the truth and acting upon it, but Paul has found Timothy to be so.

What Paul taught is to behold Jesus Christ and all He has done for all mankind. Timothy delivered that message by being a living example.

The best gospel that was preached in the early church is the living gospel, where ordinary people lived an extraordinary, supernatural life that was seen in Christ Jesus.

We are called to live the gospel of Christ, and one of the key ingredients in living the gospel is being selfless.

When the focus on self is taken out, what will be left is God's will and God's purpose.

When doing good and having good goes to others, the gospel would be seen clearly by everyone.

When we put our attention to living out the gospel of Christ, all our needs will not only be met but will overflow like the jar of oil that never runs dry.

Many serve to get the reward, but true believers serve because they are already blessed in Christ Jesus, for He is our all in all. They serve Him out of gratitude and love.

Let us also be a living example of the gospel of Christ, where we preach and teach the true kingdom of God and be Christ-like here on earth.
