Mark 4:21 NKJV
Also He said to them, βIs a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Is it not to be set on a lampstand?
Mark 4:21 NKJV
Jesus said no one puts a lighted lamp under a cover to block the light. Instead, they will find a suitable place for the light to have maximum effect in the room.
Jesus has lit our lives with His light, with His power, with His life and with His glory. When we humbly step into what Jesus has given to us, we will shine forth His glory, His love and grace to the world.
This also means that Christ has lit our lives to shine, to be placed in a position of influence. Don't turn away when Christ elevates us to a position of authority and on a platforms in life.
It is not humility to turn away when promotion comes to shine. It is pride. It is selfish to refuse to shine the light of Christ because light is meant to help others see the truth and walk in the right path.
Some look for a place of prominence when what they have is darkness and they are misled by deception. But when God places us in a place of prominence, we must be humble to accept it and shine His glory.
There is so much false humility in the body of Christ that shuns the light of God's glory, that supersedes the liberating power of Christ.
We, as children of God, have a fire inside that burns to be the light for the world to see the truth and come to the saving knowledge of Christ.
Are we shining His light? Are our lives a direction for others to see the way to Christ and know that God loves them?
Remember, it is His light in us; it has the capacity to establish its purpose. We don't have to think about how it is going to work or turn out, just believe and walk as light, and everything else will be a miracle.
Let us take every opportunity to shine the light of God's glory every day and in every aspect of our lives.
Live in the blessings,
Ps Ambrose
