Hebrews 4:14 NKJV
Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
Hebrews 4:14 NKJV
Yom Kippur, a day of atonement, is a very important day for the people of God. The high priest goes into the most holy place and coming out alive means the sacrifice is accepted and sins are forgiven for that year.
Jesus, Son of the living God, is our high priest who has passed through the heavens, and He is a living God who never dies. It speaks of His sacrifice, which has been accepted and of the people's sins being forgiven forever, once and for all.
It is important that we see this truth, understand this truth so that our walk will be confident and our faith is unshaken.
Christ Jesus has passed through heaven; He did it not for Himself.
He did it for us. He brought our payment and fulfilled all the requirements of the law forever.
Because He lives, we can face our tomorrow, we can face our giants, we can face our storms of life without fear, knowing that Christ has defeated them all.
For we live in Him, move in Him and have our being in Him. This is the place where we build our lives. This is the foundation Jesus laid for us.
Death has no more power over us, for when Christ died, we died to our Adamic nature. We have taken Christ's nature, a spirit being that never dies. When we breathe our last, we leave behind this flesh and continue to live forever with God.
We need to hold fast to our confession, that we are accepted children of the living God, freed from the bondage and alive in Christ forever.
Let us not waver in our confession, stand firm in what Christ has done and keep shining for Jesus.
Live in the blessings,
Ps Ambrose
