Through You we will push down our enemies; Through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us.

The psalmist is reflecting God and His plans in times of distress and dishonoured by people. The psalmist is making a deliberate choice to lift their face towards God and not towards their adversaries.

In this Psalm, we see that the enemy is defeated not by fighting and engaging with the enemy. We see that the enemy is defeated by living life through God.

We trample the enemy and all of his works by living life through God.

Today we are living the life of Christ. We have been graced to live in His victory, to live in His power and dominion.

The effect of us living in Christ means we continue the victory Christ has won for us, we continue to stand on satan's head whom Christ have crushed, we walk in the freedom and power that Christ has given to everyone of us.

We are called to be partakers of the divine nature and imitators of God as His dear children. Therefore, we live out God everyday and bring glory to His holy Name.

When we keep standing in Christ, satan cannot rise up, when we believe all Christ has done, we enforce every work of satan to be pushed out of our lives.

We need to keep rehearsing what Christ has accomplished for us and what He has deposited in each one of us.

Let us lift our eyes on Christ, set our face before Him daily and let God the Holy Spirit lead our ways everyday.
