Romans 1:6 NKJV

among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ;

Romans 1:6 NKJV

To be a follower of Jesus Christ is not a call to observe certain sets of rules to become acceptable before God. To be a follower of Jesus Christ is to accept the position Christ has given to us as His beloved children.

Followers of Christ are those who have believed, received and lived according to His finished work. Salvation is a gift Christ offered to all mankind. Salvation is not a journey into holiness. It is a state of being saved, healed and delivered by the power of God.

It is a place of rest from labouring to become acceptable before God. It is a place of standing as one who has received the crown of glory as a child of the living God.

Paul would give his life for this cause because of the abundance God has prepared, that mankind can never attain by their own spirituality.

What Paul is saying to the believers in Rome is that everyone is called into living in the glory of God, but everyone has to make that choice personally to accept that invitation.

We all have to choose to live as the anointed of God, blessed of God, highly favoured to do all that He has commanded us to do. Just as Christ did on this earth.

Today, we have the liberty to live in the power of God, to move in His love and grace so that we can fulfil all He has purposed for our lives.

Let us take hold of these established promises God has made and start living, start speaking the life of God into areas that need resurrection and start glorifying Him as our Lord.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
