John 11:38 NKJV

Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it.

John 11:38 NKJV

Jesus, who knew about Lazarus's death and waited four more days before going to see him, did not groan because Lazarus was dead.

Jesus groaned in himself because of their unbelief. After explaining everything to Mary, to Martha, and to those around them, they still did not understand that Jesus is the resurrection and the life.

The people around said He opened the blind eyes but could not keep Lazarus alive.

They heard Jesus explain, but their mind was still wrapped up with the loss. When they heard Jesus say, "I am the resurrection", they were wrapped up in religion.

They chose to live in the form of godliness without the power. Jesus is the power, Jesus is the resurrection and He is the life.

How many of us are still living in the form of godliness, going about our daily lives just like everyone else in the world, without power?

Jesus Christ has deposited in us the same power that healed the blind, opened the deaf ears, caused the lame to walk, the dead to come alive and set the oppressed free.

We cannot live life like everyone else who does not know Jesus. The reason Christ deposited the power in us is so we can be the solution to the problems in the world.

We are called by God to echo His finished work on that cross and not echo the problems that are happening around us.

Jesus groaned because of their unbelief. Let us cause heaven to rejoice daily by living the finished work of Christ. Be bold to pray for people, lay hands on the sick and speak the word of God and resurrect everything to life in Christ Jesus.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
