Philippians 1:26 NKJV

that your rejoicing for me may be more abundant in Jesus Christ by my coming to you again.

Philippians 1:26 NKJV

Paul's letter to the Philippians reflects his spiritual bond with them. As Paul expressed his desire and his motives, we can grasp the heart of Paul is to serve the people of God.

Paul brings the focus back on Christ and the true joy Jesus has brought to all mankind. We can also see that the imprisonment Paul faced did not stop him from spreading the good news to all.

What we can learn from Paul's imprisonment is that nothing can stop Paul from fulfilling his purpose. The four walls could not contain the message that was in his heart for the people.

Though Paul desired to see them face-to-face, he could not at that time; yet, his love and message of the grace of God reached the people.

Paul's imprisonment had produced what we have today the book of Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and Philemon.

We learn that no matter what takes place in and around us, the message of the gospel remains the same. It produces life, joy and peace in the light of Christ.

When our hearts are set to serve the Lord, no matter what comes our way, we will still keep shining and we will keep pressing forward because we love God above all.

When persecution comes, when we are hard pressed on every side and things do not look great in the natural, we have the power to turn it all into the joy of the Lord.

We too can become very productive in the spirit, going beyond all our mountains and rising higher than all our circumstances - rising in the power of Christ.

Let us take courage in Christ Jesus and the grace He has bestowed upon us. Rejoice in the Lord and live in the power of His might.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
