Exodus 3:13 NKJV
Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?”
Exodus 3:13 NKJV
When God told Moses to deliver His people from Egypt, Moses asked a very important question that gives us an understanding of who God is and His Name.
God said to Moses that I AM has sent you. His Name reflects His nature and He is the Great I AM.
What God is saying to them is that I AM to you a NOW God. Not the great I was or the great I am going to be, but right now, in whatever situation it may be, He is the manifested great I AM.
Taking this into the new covenant perspective that we have received through Christ. Jesus said I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Jesus is the I AM for every believer. All of His promises have been established in every believer's life, they are yes and amen because He lives in each one of us.
Every scripture in the Bible needs to be brought through the I AM, Jesus Christ Himself before any application to our lives.
Jesus is the completion of all the law and the prophets and He is the answer, solution and life to all mankind.
Is Jesus the great I Am in our lives,?
Does our thinking, speaking and living align with His nature?
Does our communication with God look like He was the great I Am or He is going to be the great I Am?
Are we believing that God is going to do it? Or are we believing that He has already done it?
Every promise to all mankind is established by Jesus in our spirit. This is the salvation which we have received from Christ that needs to be worked out in our lives.
We are to work out the salvation that The Great I Am has established in each follower of Christ.
Are we worshipping the Great I Am or are we worshipping the great I was? God cannot be constrained by time, He is time. God cannot be fitted into anything, for everything came out of Him.
Let us choose to live in the Great I Am. In all, He has accomplished for us and keeps shining brighter each day, reflecting Him.
Live in the blessings,
Ps Ambrose
