Philemon 1:4 NKJV

I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers,

Philemon 1:4 NKJV

When Paul thought about Philemon, his heart welled up with thanksgiving unto God for his generous giving and his leadership in the house church in Colossae.

As a minister, Philemon was faithful in serving the Lord, and he occasionally provided support to Paul, as mentioned in his letters to the Philippians.

Today, we also have the opportunity to be a blessing to the household of God, especially to those who serve the Lord.

Our giving, our encouragement and support are beyond value to those who minister the word of God. Like Paul's heart of ministry well up with joy when such blessings come their way.

Philemon, who is the minister, was also a big giver to his minister above him. This is not about the money but the heart of a minister that reflects God's love and grace.

Those who have multiplied their talents will have more than enough to give, to support and to encourage. They don't give according to what they have but according to what they have become in Christ.

Every one of us has the capacity to be a joy, a thanksgiving and praise on the lips of another. Their hearts well up with thanksgiving every time they think of us.

We help, give and encourage because that is who we have become in Christ; we are the lifters of each other so that each one can be an effective minister, strengthening each other for the glory of God.

Let us live out our lives, multiply our talents and become a blessing to each other.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
