“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.

Under the old covenant, one must obey and carefully follow God's commandments in order to have the privilege of being placed as a person of authority over the nations of the earth.

To keep all the laws and follow them carefully is something that is not achievable in most people's lives.

But in the new covenant as God's own children, God has placed us to sit together with Him in the heavenly places. We have been positioned with all the privileges of God's kingdom to rule and reign with Christ.

We must understand that in Christ we function and live under different principles and under different laws. It is about living as who WE HAVE BECOME in CHRIST.

Many in the body of Christ are still living in Christ but with the old principles, old mentality, living as someone who needs to attain righteousness by observing the law.

That would be like having a Ferrari outlook with an engine that can't go over the hills. Having a form of godliness but without power.

Being a believer of Christ but functioning in our own power not only causes us to struggle in life but it brings such a bad image of our Saviour who has given up everything for us.

Christ has completed, appointed, and offered us all in Him as a pleasing sacrifice unto our Father in heaven. We are filled and empowered with Christ to do everything pertaining to life and godliness.

Let us take on the new nature, put on the new mind, and live in the principles Christ has laid for us all.
