John 4:37 NKJV

For in this the saying is true: β€˜One sows and another reaps.’

John 4:37 NKJV

When the disciples came back and brought food for Jesus, Jesus told His disciples that He had food and that is to do the will of His Father.

This calls for everyone to be ready to take hold of the opportunity that comes our way to either sow the seed or reap the ready harvest.

Here in this verse, Jesus emphasises that sowing and reaping are important and both have equal importance.

One cannot reap what was not sown. Therefore, it is important that we keep sowing so that it will grow and be ready to be harvested.

Many who sow, desire to see the fruits in the kingdom. Churches that have many people in the congregation and are big in numbers, might be because someone in a small little congregation went out to sow seeds.

Therefore, we must understand that our greater rewards are from God and we may not see them here today, but they are all set in heaven for us.

Jesus sowed into the twelve disciples and now He has millions of disciples right now across the globe. He did not see those numbers then but it is all set for Him to enjoy the fruits of what He has sown into our lives.

Just like food is to the body, so is doing the will of our Father in heaven should be food for our souls.

Let us keep sowing into lives the truth, the love, the generosity of God into all who are in need of help.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
