Romans 3:5 NKJV

But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unjust who inflicts wrath? (I speak as a man.)

Romans 3:5 NKJV

Paul is sharing his thoughts with the Romans regarding the righteousness of God. One of the things Paul is trying to explain in this passage is never to reason the word of God from our human perspective.

The righteousness of God is not set by men's performance, nor will our unrighteousness alter His perfect nature. God is God and everything has to come before His righteous judgment.

Every man who sins, sins by their own will and by their own choice. God has spoken and His principles have been set.

What we do with our lives will determine whether we are following God or following our own will. Following our own will does not bring the righteousness of God but living under His grace and favour is living in His righteousness.

Many believers were manipulating the grace of God so that they could keep living in sin and condoning it. That is not the grace of God. The grace of God empowers, lifts us, and propels people to live in the image of God that has been granted by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The fact is we don't have to do anything to be in sin. For all have sinned and have fallen short of God's glory. The only thing that remains for all mankind is to receive Jesus, start living in the grace of God, and display His righteousness every day of our lives.

Let us see ourselves and each other as the righteousness of God, filled with His glory and power.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
