Luke 3:10 NKJV

So the people asked him, saying, “What shall we do then?”

Luke 3:10 NKJV

After John the Baptist said, 'The axe is laid to the root of the tree,' they understood that all their practices concerning the law, as well as their rituals and observant lifestyle, were no longer valid.

This is the reason they asked John the Baptist, "What must we do then, since the old ways need to be done away, what is the new way?"

We have to stop and check if we are going backwards or going forward in our walk with God. Are we standing on ceremonies or having a strong relationship with God?

Here John the Baptist teaching them to live out the image of God and His likeness. To manifest the love of God in every area of our lives.

This echoes the teachings of Christ. Jesus did not come to start a religion but to establish a Father - child relationship so that each one begins to display the fulfillment of scriptures through our lives.

The death and resurrection of Christ would mean nothing if we live our lives by observing the old.

Instead, we need to be living from the place Christ has placed us all.

Let us therefore begin this new journey to live out the gospel of the kingdom of God so that the message of Christ will reach to the ends of the earth.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
