But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

Jesus taught about the lamp of the body is the eye. The eye is like the gateway, the entrance that receives good things or bad things.

The storms of life, the mountains in life, the bad news, the setbacks, the failures that happen in life can be used by the devil to bring fear and doubt into our lives.

The enemy wants to paint the picture so that our eyes will be captivated by what he is doing.

What we are looking at gives entrance to influence our minds and hearts. It will start to shape our responses and our actions.

This is one of the reasons we are called to look unto Jesus as the Author and the Completer of our faith, belief and lives.

This is so that our whole spirit, soul and body gets influenced by the image and likeness of God. This means we give permission for God's life to transform our lives.

By looking at Jesus, we will cause our minds and hearts to be influenced by God's image and likeness. It will start to manifest in our responses and it will direct our actions.

Let us allow the light and the glory of God to shine in and through our eyes by fixing our eyes on all that Christ has done for us.
