Luke 3:12 NKJV

Then tax collectors also came to be baptized, and said to him, “Teacher, what shall we do?”

Luke 3:12 NKJV

John the baptist was a forerunner to prepare the way for Jesus Christ He preached the true message of the kingdom.

When the people asked John what must they do, John did not ask them to circumcise according to the law, he did not ask them to bring sacrifices for their sins.

These are the things they were supposed to do in order to repent, following the law that was set for them. Instead, John preached the fullfilment of the law.

Which is to live out what the law could not do. Teaching them to live righteously, loving, caring, giving and helping one another.

This is an amazing change from paying the penalty for sin to living out without sin by living out the truth.

This is the start of teaching people to turn from sin-consciousness to God-consciousness.

John prepared the people to be ready to receive a new kingdom that Christ is about to establish forever for all mankind.

Today, we have been set in Christ with all of His glory and power to live out God's righteousness everyday.

We are to live our lives by turning our face towards Jesus and fixing our eyes on Him. So that we can have the right vision and the right standing to live out the truth.

Let us give attention to live out the gospel, putting everything that Christ has given into practice.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
