II Timothy 4:11 NKJV

Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for ministry.

II Timothy 4:11 NKJV

Paul in his writing declared of his final days and how he had fought a good fight of faith and have finished the race but Paul did not stop there, he continued ministering till the end.

Here Paul wrote some requests that he needed and it spoke of many things - network, unity and forgiveness.

Paul needed help to join hands to work towards the spreading of the gospel of the Kingdom. Luke, who was faithful in ministering to Paul, Mark who had a great dispute with Paul desired to work together speaks about forgiveness and restoration.

Many things we can learn from this passage that there is no retirement in ministry, no one is disqualified because of disagreement and unity is needed to complete the task God had given to each one of us.

We all have individual missions, assignments from God and to carry that out. It is done through each one helping each other.

If we want to fulfill God's divine plan for our lives, we need to be united and support one another in the things of God.

It is not weakness that Paul displayed here but strength to pull everyone together for a greater vision that God had purposed for all mankind.

Let us get involved in the work of God by offering ourselves, our giftings, our talents and by doing so, we will find ourselves fulfilling God's plans for our own lives.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
