Haggai 2:4 NKJV

Yet now be strong, Zerubbabel,’ says the Lord; ‘and be strong, Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land,’ says the Lord, ‘and work; for I am with you,’ says the Lord of hosts.

Haggai 2:4 NKJV

This is the word of encouragement that God gave for the second temple to be built. It speaks of us, the temple that is built by God through His Son Jesus Christ.

We are to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might to start working out the abundance God has placed in His children.

The first thing is for His children to be strong. Not just physically but above all, spiritually. The way we become strong spiritually is by knowing our spiritual identity.

We need to know what we have received in the spirit, what we have become and what we have been called to do.

Without a basic understanding of our spiritual identity, we will be uncertain and shaken when the storms come upon our lives.

If we have a basic understanding of our spiritual identity, we can be confident in addressing our circumstances with the power of God.

We are born again into His likeness so that we can carry out the supernatural works of God here on earth.

This is the reason we are called to be strong in Christ and know who God has made us to be so that we can boldly fulfil all that God has called us to do.

So let us be strong in the Lord for God Himself lives in us by His Spirit, to teach, to guide and to establish His purpose through our lives.

Blessings,

Ps Ambrose
