Luke 18:11 NKJV
The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector.'
Luke 18:11 NKJV
Jesus taught that some trust in themselves and despise others. Such is the Pharisee who boasted, comparing others with his righteous living.
Trusting in self will give room to justify self, justify that they are better than others and condemn others are not as they are.
Trusting in God and in His righteousness will bring everyone into equality receiving the grace of God. There will be no self boasting, instead a state of gratefulness.
When we know that it is by God's grace we have been forgiven and by His mercy we have been redeemed, we won't judge people of their sins, we love them and lead them into the same grace of God.
Living life in Christ Jesus eliminates all aspects of boastfulness because it is all about how God has enabled His children to succeed and live a holy life.
Many are judging the world today, many are disgusted with the things people do today. But we as believers need to keep our eyes on Jesus and keep serving one another with the love of Christ.
We are blessed by God to serve the dying world and speak life into every situation. Resurrecting them with the power of Christ everyday.
We are no longer of self but of Christ and if of Christ we are all under His power and His glory. We take glory for ourselves when we start comparing our righteousness with others.
But when we love one another and show them the same way we got saved, we give God all the glory.
Let us reflect Christ, love one another, correct in the right way and empower each other in Christ our Lord.
Blessings,
