II Corinthians 5:6 NKJV
So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord.
II Corinthians 5:6 NKJV
Paul talked about living life as a citizen of heaven and not of the earth. To live purposefully as one who has a home prepared in heaven.
Paul is not teaching that the Lord's presence is absent when we are in this body. This can't be because we are the temple of the living God. The Holy Spirit lives in us and never leaves us.
Paul is teaching that as long as we are still living on earth in this body, we must take courage because in this earthly realm, we will face all kinds of challenges that our body has to fight.
But the spiritual eternal house, our final destination, is sure but has not yet come. The enemy wants to derail us from our route to our destination.
We must take courage to keep holding on to the truth, to walk in the promises of God and keep speaking the future that Christ has fulfilled for us.
Paul's message is clear for all believers that they should not build their lives to settle here on earth but to be good stewards as we journey through the world, using every talent that God has given in preparation to be with the Lord for eternity.
Always take courage, for the greatest and eternal place has been prepared for all who believe in Jesus Christ. No matter what happens, it is worth standing till the end.
We may not fully understand, we may not be able to answer some questions at this moment and may not even know what is next but be of courage that our final destination is sure in Christ Jesus.
Let us take courage, for Christ has prepared, and all who believe in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.
Blessings,
Ps Ambrose
