Matthew 11:16 NKJV

But to what shall I liken this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling to their companions,

Matthew 11:16 NKJV

Jesus likened this generation to unfruitfulness because they are always dissatisfied, complaining, wasting time speaking to one another, and corrupting their mind.

When John lived a strict life of discipline and was set apart from others, they say he had a demon.

When Jesus came and liberated people from bondage while eating and drinking, they called Jesus a drunkard and a glutton.

When one uses their tongue to speak corrupt words, to complain while using their mind to engage in wasteful thinking, they become unproductive and a poison to the community.

In contrast, the generation that follows God is those who use their tongue to speak life and call things that are not as though they are by faith.

God's generation is those who bring solutions to the needs that are in the world. They flow with the wisdom of God to heal them and restore them to their purpose.

We need to be active as a generation that follows God, whose mind is on Him and whose mouth speaks forth the things of Christ.

We gather to be equipped and we GO to heal the world. We strengthen each other so that we can reflect Christ in all of our lives.

We call each other to fruitfulness, speak to one another the greatness of our God and create an atmosphere for all to see Jesus Christ our Saviour and Lord.

Let us keep following Jesus, occupying our minds with the riches of God's glory and speak forth His word to every situation that comes our way.

Blessings,

Ps Ambrose
