As I urged you when I went into Macedonia—remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

I Timothy 1:3 NKJV

Paul urged Timothy his spiritual son to remain in Ephesus so that he can continue to uphold the true message of the gospel.

For many in those times are mixing faith in Christ and living by the law. Paul wanted Timothy to make sure that all be corrected according to the true gospel.

Today, nothing has changed. There are many implementing their own gospel stirred by the religious leaders that want power over people.

If we don't hold on to the true message of the gospel, then we too will be swayed by their doctrine.

It is important that we look unto Jesus and follow the principles He has laid for us. We are meant to mature in Christ and handle the word of God well.

This is the reason Paul teaches belivers to lay no other foundation other than Jesus Christ.

Let us keep looking unto Jesus and remain in His truth. Teaching and training everyone in the ways of God.
