Acts 1:11 NKJV

who also said, β€œMen of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

Acts 1:11 NKJV

When Jesus ascended into heaven, all the eleven and those who gathered were there witnessing the event that took place.

Jesus's ascension speaks of many things. One of them speaks of His mission on earth has been accomplished.

The purpose of His mission is for all of us to be made into God's image and likeness again. Therefore, His ascension means mankind in Christ has been made in God's image and likeness.

What religion could not do, Christ did once and for all for all mankind. Therefore, it is the mark of the end of religion, the end of ritualistic performance, and the end of keeping ordinances to start a relationship with our Almighty God.

We in Christ are placed in a position to rule and reign with His power, might, and strength. We are clothed in His glory that reflects what He has done for us.

When Jesus comes back to earth, will He find His children clothed in His glory and with all He has accomplished for His children?

The only one who can put on Christ in our lives is ourselves. Are we wearing the robe of His glory every day?

When Jesus comes, will He find us as one clothed in all that He had provided, or will He find us clothed in our own circumstances and struggles?

How we choose to live today as believers will directly affect His image and His likeness. Many walked away from believing in Jesus because they did not experience the reflection of Christ.

We have to make an intentional choice to bring ourselves to be clothed in His glory mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, so that when Jesus comes, He can see His bride clothed in His own glory.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
