Philippians 4:17 NKJV

Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.

Philippians 4:17 NKJV

Paul taught and sowed the word of God to the Philippian Church and to see them respond in supporting Paul's ministry is such a witnesses that they have abounded in God.

Paul is not saying to get more support but to make a point that they have grown when they start to give.

They are many levels of maturity and when someone starts to sow into people whom they have been blessed so that they may continue to expand God's kingdom is another level of growth in the kingdom.

Now they no longer think it is Paul's ministry or someone else's ministry but they start to see it as the kingdom ministry and they are a part of it.

Many believers today don't sow into the storehouse where they are fed but are casual with their giving.

They take all they can get but do not manifest godly principles to sow so that the word travels further.

When we order food from McDonald's, we don't pay at KFC. But many still do not have any idea where to give and support.

As part of God's family, let us take care of what God has opened to us and minister with His love and grace.

Pray that the church will grow to maturity and be a giver just like Jesus.

Blessings,

Ps Ambrose
