Acts 2:40 NKJV

And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.

Acts 2:40 NKJV

After being baptized in the Holy Spirit, Peter spoke with conviction, turning thousands to faith in Christ by calling them to turn away from the world and its system to Christ and His ways. Peter concluded that each one needs to be saved from this perverse generation, which tries to stand on its own merits and works to justify righteousness, wrapped up in self.

To be saved is to come into the saving knowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord and receive Him into our lives as our Lord and Savior, starting the journey of life in Him, not in ourselves.

We are to believe in the divine exchange that Christ has brought to us and follow Him as our model, imitating Him daily.

We need to examine our lives, putting away deeds and ways of life that are of the world, and replacing them with God's ways. The first thing that needs to change is our mind. We need to keep aligning our minds with what Jesus has done, how He has presented us to the Father in heaven, and what He has deposited in us.

Acknowledging Jesus as Lord is the first step. Getting involved in renewing our minds according to what Christ has done is equally important to see Christ-likeness manifest in our lives.

Many who have received Jesus into their lives still struggle because they don't spend time transforming their minds according to what Christ has done.

Let's turn our minds and hearts to be educated by the power of His Spirit, changing every aspect of our lives according to what Christ has established.
