Mark 9:25, NKJV

When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it: “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!

Mark 9:25, NKJV

When Jesus saw the crowd running towards Him, He quickly rebuked the unclean spirit. Typically, if we want everyone to witness the power of Jesus, we might wait for all to gather so that many more can be impacted by the manifestation of God's power.

Some people believe that Jesus didn't want the public to know about His identity and didn't want people to recognize Him as King before His time. It is also possible that Jesus did not want to be surrounded by superficial belief, given that He couldn't perform many miracles in His hometown due to the people's unbelief.

Unbelief can rob us of the blessings God has prepared. We are called to shine the light of Christ to the world, yet it is essential to have fellowship with those of faith to build our belief. People who focus on negative things often look at their circumstances and challenges instead of God's power and authority.

God wants us to focus on Him, His power, and His authority at work among believers who confess Christ as Lord. Therefore, we are to believe in Jesus and give no room for doubt and unbelief. Let us trust Jesus and surround ourselves with people who believe in Him and trust in His finished work.

Blessings,

Ps Ambrose
