Ephesians 2:12 NKJV

That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

Ephesians 2:12 NKJV

Paul emphasizes a clear distinction between life without Christ and life with Christ. Prior to knowing Christ, our approach to life was centered on gaining something we lacked. We viewed ourselves as victims, sinners who had fallen short of God's glory.

In contrast, our new life in Christ is built on the foundation of having already attained everything we need pertaining to life and godliness. We stand as those who have been washed by Christ's blood, sanctified, and made pure and holy. As victors, we possess authority and power, clothed with His glory.

We are a people bound by an unbreakable covenant, secured in Christ. This covenant can only be compromised if we deny Christ and choose to follow the ways of the world.

Our new life in Christ is marked by the assurance of hope, with a secure future. When we choose to walk in Christ, we experience the abundance He has created.

Our actions, responses, and conclusions should reflect the confidence that we have God on our side. With this mindset, we can boldly declare that no weapons that formed against us shall prosper.

This new life in Christ is incredibly powerful, and the contrast with our old life is huge.

Let us take our rightful place in Christ, continue to build ourselves up in all that He has accomplished, and reign with Him.

Blessings,

Ps Ambrose
