Romans 10:4, NKJV

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Romans 10:4, NKJV

The law's requirements were impossible for anyone to fully follow, fulfil or keep. Only Christ perfectly fulfilled the law, becoming the perfect sacrifice for all humanity. It is crucial to remember that without Christ, people live under the curse of sin and death. The law served as a pointer to a Saviour, while in Christ, people live under God's grace and power.

Another vital note is that in God's original plan, there was no law. The law was introduced because of sin, and its ultimate fulfillment is found in Christ. Therefore, the beginning and end of God's plan is God Almighty Himself.

The law's purpose was to turn people from sin and lead them to receive Christ as their Saviour. Now that Christ has appeared, everyone can walk in the fulfillment of the law through Him. This doesn't mean we revert to following the law, but rather follow the One who has fulfilled it – Jesus Christ.

When we live in Christ, we live in the image and likeness of God, which is our Father's ultimate desire. Paul encourages believers to live in what Christ has established for us, as one redeemed by the blood of the Lamb of God.

Christ has accomplished something extraordinary for humanity; now it is our choice to live in Christ or attempt to be justified by the law. Living in Christ is the fulfillment of the law. The goal for every believer is to display God's glory and live in His fullness.

Let us wholeheartedly follow Christ, living in the accomplishments of His finished work.

Blessings,

Ps Ambrose
