Genesis 17:5, NKJV
No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations."
Genesis 17:5, NKJV
God spoke to Abram, bringing a transformation to his name. This new name reflected the promises and destiny that God had ordained for him. As the all-knowing God, He revealed to Abram the necessary steps to become the father of many nations.
The Word of God is designed to change us from glory to glory, transforming our old thinking patterns to align with the mind of Christ. Consequently, the Word will challenge our will and beliefs, guiding us from our old ways to the new life in Christ.
God sent forth His Word, imparting promises and desiring that we walk in His glory. The greatest challenge lies in acknowledging our need for continuous transformation in our mind and heart, conforming to His image and likeness daily.
Our response to God's Word determines the manifestation of His promises in our lives. If we resist the transformative power of the Word, we will struggle to experience the fulfillment of those promises.
Submitting to God and His Word is essential for our spiritual growth and maturity as children of the living God.
Are we willing to relinquish the old and open our hearts and minds to the new? God's desire for every believer is an ongoing transformation in our minds, hearts, and lives, aligning with His promises.
Let us heed the changes God brings through His Word and intentionally apply them in our daily lives.
Blessings,
