Hebrews 11:17, NKJV

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son."

Hebrews 11:17, NKJV

Abraham's faith was rooted in the substance of God's provision and abundance. He believed he had already received his heir, demonstrating that faith is the substance of things Abraham hoped for. To have faith is to believe that the provision has already been made.

We cannot have faith in something that is not established. However, when things are established, we can have faith in them. Christ has established all things pertaining to life and godliness, although they may not be visible. It is there available and we have an unseen provision waiting to be manifested.

The way to see this provision come to pass is by speaking those things that are not seen until they become visible. God calls us to have faith in what He has already done. However, God cannot manifest this in our lives without our participation. The choice has been given to mankind, and it is up to us to take what God has provided and bring it into our lives.

Abraham believed in the substance of God's promise, that God had already provided an heir. All Abraham had to do was follow the One who had promised.

It is remarkable how we, who are dependent on God, can question Him. The one who needs help is questioning the One who has the answers. That is not faith; that is not thinking straight.

God is God, and when we follow Him and all that He has made, we can enjoy the unseen in the natural. If we experience lack in our lives, we should start speaking and believing the things God has provided and bring them to pass in our own lives.

Let us have faith in the substance of God's goodness, believing in the things He has already prepared. May we be blessed by living in His goodness.

Blessings,

Ps Ambrose
