John 3:12, NKJV
If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?
John 3:12, NKJV
Jesus spoke these words to Nicodemus, a religious leader who was well-versed in the Old Testament. However, Nicodemus struggled to believe the truth of God's Word because he relied on his own ideology.
Jesus' life on earth demonstrated the blessings He prepared for all believers. His entrance into the world as a man, His death, and His resurrection in His glorious body all speak of the supernatural inheritance believers have in Christ.
However, if we fail to grasp what Christ has done for us in the natural realm, how can we understand its spiritual significance for us as believers?
What Christ has done for us in the natural has given us access to partake of His divine nature, flowing in His glory, power, and love.
The key point is to understand Christ's purpose on earth: to fulfil all the requirements of the law, deal with the penalty of sin, and restore mankind to God's image and likeness.
If we struggle to believe what Christ has done for us in this world, we will struggle to understand what He has given us in the Spirit. Let us commit ourselves to understanding by studying the Word and knowing what Christ has established for us.
Blessings,
