John 14:10 NKJV

Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.

John 14:10 NKJV

Jesus revealed to the disciples that He is in the Father and the Father is in Him. Phillip was looking at Jesus as one person and hoping to see the Father as another individual. But Jesus is revealing to them that they are both one.

Jesus also said that the Father is the one who did all the work. We know that all the work was done by Jesus and He completed everything.

This is a powerful truth that we need to understand that the moment Jesus received the Holy Spirit, He became one with the Father. The way the Father accomplished His works is accomplished by Jesus through His obedience.

So it is really Jesus working out what the Father has done. In the same way, when we are born again, we become one with Christ.

Therefore, Jesus is no longer the one to do the work but we who are born again work out what Christ has done and accomplished for us.

Now Christ dwells in us; He is the head, and we are His body. Praying for the head to do the work will not get the work done.

It is the body that needs to do the work, the Head, Jesus Christ is directing through His Spirit and through His Word that we as His body walk in obedience to His directions.

We have all the authority given to us, we have the promises and His Holy Spirit as a guarantee to accomplish the task.

We must not doubt that we are one in Christ, we must believe and exercise our position as His body so that we will start following His directions in life.

The body does not tell the head what to do, the hand does not tell the head what to take, and the feet do not tell the head where to walk.

Yet that is how we as a church have been praying, telling the head to do this and that, asking the head to pour out mercy and love, to save souls and deliver the people when we who are His body are the ones to do it.

When we come together as His body and start aligning ourselves to the head, then we will not stand on ceremonies, rituals or rely on our situations but just do what the Head says.

Christ is the head of the Church, the head over our lives and He is the one to direct our lives according to His purpose and according to His will.

Let us come into oneness in Christ and live in the most powerful place that is in God and display His glory to the world.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
