Romans 10:16 NKJV
But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?”
Romans 10:16 NKJV
Paul shared that even after revealing the truth, even after seeing the manifestation of God's glory and even after confirming the word of God with signs and wonders, people still rejected the truth.
This is because they cannot come into acceptance that Christ has finished it all, fulfilled all and have given all to those who have believed in Christ.
Many today still want to hold on to their flesh, to their tradition and to their rituals to justify their works instead of living in the pure grace of God.
People love to justify themselves with their actions, their sacrifices and their achievements to attain the unattainable. For in them they can boast of their self-righteousness. For only God can give to us freely by His love and grace the things that are of Him
Following Christ means to abandon self totally and embrace Christ for eternity. It is spending time to be conformed to His image and to display His likeness.
Many reports are based on self, based on experiences, based on what has worked before and based on good strategies.
But there is only one report that will stand for eternity, it stood in the past, it is standing today, and it will continue to stand forever immovable and that is the report that Christ has given to all believers. "It is finished".
The report of Christ says that we are healed, blessed, anointed, appointed, set apart, given all authority over every power of the enemy, clothed with His righteousness, as a new creation and the rights to become children of the living God.
We have a lifelong journey to develop all these attributes of God and to manifest them every day in and through our lives.
To obey the gospel means to obey all that Christ has done for us and to be doers of the word. We are called to live out Christ every day.
Let us believe, obey and live to display Christ's finished work so the world can truly see the beauty and glory of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Live in the blessings,
Ps Ambrose
