John 4:15 NKJV
The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.”
John 4:15 NKJV
The woman at the well is a picture of many souls that are out there who are tired, broken, shameful, searching for answers and desperate.
This woman was in pursuit of a fulfilled life. It led her to have many husbands and to be in a shameful state to live life in the public.
She may have listened to the ways of the world, hoping for the pleasures of the world to satisfy her soul but it left her bitter and broken.
She encountered Jesus and hope started to rise. She wanted the water to satisfy her thirst and did not need to come out in the public but Jesus gave her even far better than just solving her immediate wants.
Jesus gave her back her life to live in the fullness of His grace and love. A wellspring of life, It satisfied her soul that led to the whole village which once she hid from and introduced to be saved and blessed.
That same Jesus is in each one of us who believe. He wants to touch lives that are broken, rejected and in despair.
Jesus needs our hands and our feet, our heart and our words to comfort, to build, to restore and provide to the broken and lost.
We are the ambassadors of God to go into all the world and bring this good news to heal, restore and to let them know they have an inheritance in Christ that can take them from poverty to productivity in every area of their lives.
Jesus went out to the well, looking for the ones and the multitudes to heal, restore and to empower.
Let us seek the Lord, seek His kingdom, begin to step out in faith and meet the needs that are around us. For it is not by might nor by our power but by the Spirit of the Lord who dwells in us.
Live in the blessings,
Ps Ambrose
