Exodus 20:24 NKJV
An altar of earth you shall make for Me, and you shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen. In every place where I record My name I will come to you, and I will bless you.
Exodus 20:24 NKJV
God spoke to Moses about making an altar for Him so that their sin can be covered and they can be qualified to get God's provisions.
The altar speaks of the condition of mankind needing to be cleansed from sin and a need to enter into a relationship with Almighty God.
The old altar speaks of a sin nature. The new tabernacle speaks of a righteous nature. The old makes them to be identified as sinners. The new makes them to be identified as saints.
The old creates a temporary solution to be cleansed so that they can commune with God. The new altar that has been built by God, sacrificed with His own blood, created a permanent and eternal way for mankind to be holy, to be God's own children, and to approach God boldly in times of need.
Therefore, every believer in Christ needs to know this new altar is Christ, which is already in US. Jesus Christ is all in all for all mankind to be saved, have dominion, be healed, and be blessed.
Now we have to start living from this new altar, from this new image, and with this new likeness which Christ has bestowed upon us.
We are no longer to be waiting, to be asking, or to be begging to become holy, blessed, and righteous. Instead, we should be living holy, blessed, and in the righteousness of God.
Let us be vigilant to live from the new altar and continue to live our lives in alignment with what Christ has established for us.
Live in the blessings,
Ps Ambrose
