Psalms 25:15 NKJV

My eyes are ever toward the Lord, For He shall pluck my feet out of the net.

Psalms 25:15 NKJV

King David faced many battles and have been on the front line with the army. One thing we know from the Goliath encounter is that David's eyes in on the Lord and not on the giant.

For David knows that his feet will be plucked out of a net or snare that the enemy throws at him because his eyes is on the solution and not on the problems.

As the writer of Hebrews 12:2 encouraged people to fix their eyes on the Lord. By doing so, we will be looking at overcoming issues and not be drowning in them which is the snare the enemy wants us to get stuck.

The enemy throws bait for us to take in. By looking unto Jesus, we will shine the light so bright that the enemy's plot will be very clear for us to cast off.

Therefore, the one and only option to be victorious is to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus Christ and in all that He has accomplished for us.

David was not ignorant about the presence of Goliath and his presence and the terror he strikes on the heart who sees him.

David saw Goliath through the eyes of God and not through his own eyes. Therefore, when David saw through the eyes of God, Goliath becomes irrelevant, small and worth only for the birds of the air to eat his dead body.

The contrast with those who look through their own eyes have taken in the terror and retreated, losing their vision.

Therefore, we have to be vigilant to keep our eyes on the Lord, keep looking through His finished work and live through the power of His resurrection.

Live in the blessings,

Ps Ambrose
